Santhosh Chartable Welfare Trust

About Us

Santhosh Charitable Welfare Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting poor, orphaned, and economically disadvantaged communities, especially students who need assistance to continue their education. The trust was established in 2006 in memory of Selvan D. Santhosh, whose compassionate nature and willingness to help others inspired this noble initiative. Through various social service activities such as educational assistance, healthcare support, women empowerment, and rural development programs, the trust aims to uplift underprivileged people and help them build a better and more dignified future. With the support of dedicated trustees, volunteers, and well-wishers, the organization continues to work towards creating a positive impact in society.

Our Inspiration

The trust was established in loving memory of Selvan D. Santhosh, who tragically passed away in a road accident in 2005 while studying in higher secondary school. During his lifetime, Santhosh was known for his kindness and compassionate nature. He often used the money given by his father to help his classmates and friends by paying their tuition fees and purchasing study materials, particularly for those from economically weaker families.

Our Foundation

Inspired by Santhosh’s selfless attitude, Sri G. Dakshinamurthi, a former Administrative Officer in the Tamil Nadu Public Works Department, along with family members and well-wishers, established Santhosh Charitable Welfare Trust in 2006. The trust was created to continue the noble mission of helping poor students and supporting underprivileged communities.

Our Legacy

The trust also honors the legacy of Sri S. Gopalan, a respected freedom fighter who served in the Indian National Army under Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and contributed to India’s freedom struggle. His dedication and sacrifice continue to inspire the trust’s commitment to social service and national values.
